Born out of the mystical vision of artist Robert M. Place, The Alchemical Tarot: Renewed 6th Edition is a full 80-card Tarot deck that demonstrates the close link between alchemical symbolism and traditional Tarot imagery and illustrates that the Tarot, like the alchemical quest, is designed to lead one to the gold of inner wisdom.

The 6th edition of The Alchemical Tarot: Renewed is a digitally redesigned version of the original with improvements in the drawings, reproportioned so that the art is more prominent, and colored with transparent colors on a rich antique paper background, like antique alchemical illustrations. The cards are 4.75" x 2.75" (12 x 7 x 5 cm) and comes in a two-part cloth covered box. They are printed on heavy card stock with a durable mat finish and silver edges.
The deck includes the original Lovers card that was censored in the first publication along with the one that was first published. The 6th Edition has additional alchemical symbols added, such as the symbols for the alchemical operations correlated with each trump card, and a new card back. It also has a 22nd trump card called Truth, based on a vision of Hermes Trismegistus presenting the card to Rosemary Ellen Guiley, Robert's writing partner on the first edition. The Truth card depicts a pyramid with four stone layers and three non-material layers. It is a three-dimensional depiction of the Pythagorean Tetractys, a symbol representing the process of emanation, or how the divine essence manifests in the material world. Rosemary died in 2019 and this card is a homage to her.
Each card in the 6th edition of The Alchemical Tarot: Renewed is beautifully drawn and captures the enigmatic symbols of alchemy that are natural vehicles for communication with the unconscious mind. It can be used by Tarot readers at any level.

Cards are a thinner & colours not as vibrant ascthe other decks I have by him but the artvwork is still fabilous. Easy to connect with & lots of symbols on each xard. The 22nd major arcana card is interesting as are the 2 Livers cards. I love Robert
What a great package full of wonderfull packaging with a bonus oracle card. The actuall deck was a bit of a letdown after unwrapping what I like to getting a Xmas present. Loved it. Alchemical Tarot: Renewed 6th Edition
The tarot has a strong fabric-covered box (sealed in outer layer of plastic) which contained 80 tarot cards (sealed in plastic). The cards have an elegant glossy silver edge and are more suited to gentle shuffling, rather than rifle-shuffling. The card-stock is of good quality with crisp reproductions of the artwork which is drawn with fine lines. The cards are softly-coloured in an antique palette and are very pleasing to the eye. The cards have a pale border and an inner border of soft blue-grey. The card graphics are imaginative and there are references to Greek mythology. The cards are individually named and are easily identifiable by the images portrayed and their positional locations on the earth, or in the air. The imagery for the suit of wands and cups is unique. The characters portrayed have personality. The inclusion of symbols, dragons, magical symbols, griffins, phoenix, wolves, goats, lions, elephants etc., adds charm and supports the “attitude” of the cards. The cards shuffle well using a gentle hand-to-hand technique. I am exceptionally pleased with the deck. The back of the cards are attractive with a dark grey-blue edge. A small glossy-blue, 20 page booklet is succinct but clear and informative. All the cards are briefly and accurately described. Two versions of “the lovers” card are included: one version is more erotic than standard depictions. A Truth card numbered XXII is also included. I would happily recommend this deck to anyone interested in enlarging their collection of Tarot cards.

Really like this blue sky edition with the silver gilding.. Is quite a beautifully illustrated deck as well now with the blue sky background, gives this deck a whole different energy in lots of good & positive ways..Thanks again for taking care in the packaging.
