NOMINATED FOR BEST ORACLE DECK: CARTA AWARDS 2021
36 Power symbols for Manifesting Your Dreams
Symbols have been used as talismans for thousands of years to attract good luck, prosperity, healing, love and success, as well as being employed as amulets to repel unwanted influences.
Featuring a dynamic combination of medieval charms, ancient symbols, alchemical glyphs and Priestess Moon's own channeled sigils, each card depicts a powerful cypher that has been designed to tilt the future in your favour.
How to Use the Cards: There are a variety of ways to use the Making Magick Oracle deck. One way is to shuffle the cards and let a symbol choose you, the likelihood being it will indicate an area of your life you are being guided to work with more closely. Light a candle in front of the symbol and let the cypher work its magick. Leave the card in a prominent place where you can see it often, and ideally for the whole day.
Alternatively, use these gorgeous cards as an added boost to your spell work and/or successful achievement of goals. Actively select a symbol you would like to work with from the deck, light a candle in front of your chosen card and focus on the desired outcome for excellent results.
About the Author: Priestess Moon is a West Australian artist with five solo exhibitions to her name, as well as numerous group exhibitions. Her artwork is renowned as colourful, decorative and highly symbolic, created to bring moments of enchantment to the viewer. Priestess Moon works with universal symbols, bringing them into a modern context and adding her own ideas and insights. Many of her artworks incorporate gold leaf in an application method surviving since ancient Egyptian times.
After a completing a Bachelor of Arts in Design, a life changing move to Scotland to visit the land of her ancestors saw Priestess Moon discovering Celtic paganism, and with it, the spirituality of the natural world. Bringing this mysticism into her art and writing, her works have strong links to illuminated manuscripts, herbal codex’s, and magickal grimoires. Priestess Moon’s artworks contain special symbols that act as ‘energy’ tools, designed to evoke certain qualities, such as peace, protection and prosperity.
One of Priestess Moon’s ongoing interests is researching the magickal properties of herbs and spices to create delicious, yet effective enchantments by performing ‘Kitchen Witch’ magick. At the age of ten, Priestess Moon wrote a book called “Witch’s Magical Spells.” It contained a variety of spells, written in the style of cooking recipes, complete with illustrations and lashings of sequins and glitter.
