The traditional fortune-telling cards originated in Austria in the early 20th century. After the Lenormand cards, the gypsy cards are the best-selling oracle cards of all time.
This deck of cards from the Vienna card factory Piatnik is reminiscent of the parlor cards of the 18th and 19th centuries, which were very popular at the time among the circles of the upper middle class. In addition to the illustrations, the playing card symbols are depicted. The short instructions are written in German, English, and French.
The illustrations depict people, situations, and feelings from daily life such as a clergyman, a journey, or longing.
The names of the 36 cards are available in 6 languages: German, English, French, Italian, Croatian, and Hungarian, and the short guide is in 4 languages (excluding Italian and Croatian) providing a brief introduction to card reading and explaining some examples for card layout.
