Natural Magic is a practical handbook of the rituals and practice of seasonal magic, written by a traditional, hereditary witch. She describes in turn each of the main festivals of the witch's calendar: their meaning and significance, the rituals, celebrations and games, the songs and chants, the symbols and archetypes. At the end of each chapter, chants, spells and blessings appropriate to the time of year are colleted together.
Natural Magic is illustrated throughout with photographs of special places and traditional symbols, and pictures of games and activities handed down from mother to daughter through the generations. In addition, each chapter opens with a specially commissioned illustration that uses the symbols and associations of the festival to capture its particular mood and atmosphere.
Natural Magic offers a facscinating insight into this age-old cult. It will make the sceptic rethink, intrigue the uncommitted, and guide wisely those who wish toserve and seek the protection of the Goddess and the natural forces of the Earth.
